Most of those nine pilots are TRANSFERS from the Auckland base, and are not 'new' jobs created. The operation is still trying to keep it's head above the water. An internal memo was released in late 2016 indicating that the operation would be wound up in 2017. In 2018 I could see Jetstar launch NPE-WLG, TRG-AKL and HLZ-WLG. Another route that seem likely if they want to expand into the south island would be NSN-CHCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8397738201762479975.post-32583864115162211672017-05-11T21:50:17.191+12:002017-05-11T21:50:17.191+12:00Yes I'm very glad they're pretty much maki...Yes I'm very glad they're pretty much making NPE a base for JQ pilots. I guess they might possibly add more AKL flights come later on in the year or expand to doing NPE-WLG this would give Air New Zealand a run for there money because they use only Q300s on that Route 4 times a day with one ATR flight first thing in the morning 👌. I hope this does happenEagle2784https://www.blogger.com/profile/02244805442616894589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8397738201762479975.post-28228872411697837002017-05-11T15:33:20.106+12:002017-05-11T15:33:20.106+12:00Interesting, clearly they have some big plans for ...Interesting, clearly they have some big plans for expanding their offering for NPE. I think maybe a NPE-WLG could be on the cards soon. Given their current slack in their fleet, it still surprises me they haven't started TRG-AKL.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
