Updating the airline profiles

Every now and then someone either sends me or I manage to acquire a new photo to illustrate a post...  I am always grateful for new material enabling a better historical record.

Over the last little while I have received some great new photos which I was delighted to get.

The first was a photo of DH Dominie ZK-BCP at Hokitika while operating the Mount Cook Airlines' service between Fox, Franz and Hokitika. This service was the last route in New Zealand flown by Dominies.

The second one was of a Cessna 207 on the Stonyridge airfield on Waiheke Island... this is the first photo of an aircraft on Stonyridge I have managed to get a copy of.

Taupo on Thursday

A visit to Taupo on 25 January 2018 scored the following pictures...

Visiting was Air Napier's Piper PA31 Navajo ZK-NPR. It is sporting a new script for its Air Napier titles. 

Helicopter Services BOP's Robinson 66 ZK-IHT was returning from a spraying mission

Guimbal Cabri G2 ZK-IRR

NZ Aviation's Cessna 172 ZK-NPA arrived while 

while Air Hawkes Bay's Cessna 152 did a touch and go.

Cessna 182 Skylane ZK-SDA did a very short taxi 

while both Cessna 172 ZK-ZZC...

and Cessna 182 ZK-ZZR departed

SDC in Service

Now in service for Barrier Air is there new Cessna Grand Caravan ZK-SDC...

I look forward to the wind turning westerly so its worth coming up to Auckland to photograph it myself!

Two I was after as I left the South Island...

I was delighted to finally get a decent shot of Originair's BAe Jetstream 32 ZK-ECI at Nelon on 24 January 2018 on its way to Palmerston North.

I was also hoping to get Pelorus Air's Cessna 206 ZK-ENT and so I was delighted to find it at Nelson the same day.

The day before Evektor-Aertechnik Sportstar ZK-MAC was going out flying

while Adventure Flights Golden Bay's Cessna 185 ZK-MIT brought some passengers to Nelson... Bit disappointed you didn't taxi full length for departure Mit!

Nelson Aviation College's Piper Seminole ZK-NAH and Cessna 172 ZK-NAV were also training on 23 January 2018.

 

and I also caught up with Air Nelson Bombardier Q300 ZK-NEZ 

On 24 January 2018 Sequoia Falco F.8L ZK-JPG was a new one for me.

and Jetstar's Bombardier Q300 VH-TQM

It was a quiet day at Woodbourne and the only photo I took was Sounds Air's Pilatus PC12 ZK-PLX

and at Picton, the last stop before the ferry, I caught Cessna 206 ZK-PJB

New Zealand's three newest airliners have been placed on the New Zealand civil aircraft register...

Air Chathams' Saab-Scania SAAB SF340A, N135GU (c/n 340A-135) has become ZK-CIY

Air Chathams' Saab Aircraft AB SAAB 340B, N357GU (c/n 340B-357) has become ZK-CIZ

Barrier Air's Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, N2057 (c/n 208B2057) has become ZK-SDC 

Which colour scheme???

One wonders whether Barrier Air will adopt a standard scheme....

So which colour scheme would you choose for Barrier Air to adopt as seen on their two Caravans... ... beige or white or something else???

Watching no more - It's Arrived!!!

Arriving into Auckland today was Cessna 208B Grand Caravan N2057 which this blog has been monitoring as it flew across States and the Pacific on its delivery flight...

West Coast Last Week

From a plane spotting perspective it was a pretty disappointing trip to home country last week... Lousy weather elsewhere in the country, then lousy weather on the Coast meant there were no visitors. And what with family obligations I didn't get much time to check all the heliports...
However I did bike the West Coast Wilderness Trail which I can really recommend
