Every now and then someone either sends me or I manage to acquire a new photo to illustrate a post... I am always grateful for new material enabling a better historical record.
Over the last little while I have received some great new photos which I was delighted to get.
The first was a photo of DH Dominie ZK-BCP at Hokitika while operating the Mount Cook Airlines' service between Fox, Franz and Hokitika. This service was the last route in New Zealand flown by Dominies.

The second one was of a Cessna 207 on the Stonyridge airfield on Waiheke Island... this is the first photo of an aircraft on Stonyridge I have managed to get a copy of.

In terms of the current scene I am often updating my profile on airlines as I get new photos or news. The most recent updates from January 2018 are as follows;

This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. West Coast Last Week
From a plane spotting perspective it was a pretty disappointing trip to home country last week... Lousy weather elsewhere in the country, then lousy weather on the Coast meant there were no visitors. And what with family obligations I didn't get much time to check all the heliports...
However I did bike the West Coast Wilderness Trail which I can really recommend
