Glenorchy Air have started flying from Queenstown to Oban, Stewart Island.

Further details on Glenorchy Air 's Facebook page state, Our return flight departs Queenstown airport at 9am and returns at approximately 5pm. Day trips to Stewart Island have never been so easy! We are now flying directly down to Oban from Queenstown. We have an awesome special of $499per adult and $349per child!
