Glenorchy Air has gained CAA Part 119/125 Airline certification. This allows their new Cessna Grand Caravan EX to carry a maximum of 13 passengers instead of the previous limit of 9, making this aircraft significantly more efficient and sustainable. All customers will continue to sit in comfort with guaranteed window seats.
In a statement Glenorchy Air said, We are very pleased to have achieved this important milestone, which puts us in a fantastic position for the Covid 19 recovery. This has been a long term project from selecting and purchasing the aircraft, through Safety Management System certification before arriving at 125. Glenorchy Air’s Directors would like to thank our Senior Person team and all our staff for a huge team effort in attaining the very high standards of Part 125 certification with no audit findings. We are looking forward to showing more New Zealanders and Australians around Piopiotahi/Milford Sound, Aoraki/Mt Cook, Rakiura/Stewart Is and beyond in the coming months.
