Increased Frequencies

 


Sounds Air have announced new flights:

From the 8th of June the airline has added extra flights on Monday and Thursdays on the Taupo-Wellington route. At present on the Taupo route there are two flights to Wellington on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays, three flights on Wednesdays and one flight on Saturdays which returns on Sundays evenings. This will mean there will be 14 flights a week to the Taupo-Wellington route. 

From the same date Sounds Air has added extra flights on the Westport-Wellington route on Mondays and Fridays. At present on the Westport route there are two flights to Wellington on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays, three flights on Wednesdays and one flight on Saturdays and Sundays with at second return flight on Sundays evenings. This will mean there will be 15 flights a week to the Westport-Wellington route. 

From the 1st of July an additional Thursday flight will operate on the Blenheim-Christchurch route. At present on the Blenheim-Christchurch route there are three flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, four on Fridays, one on Saturdays and two on Sundays. This will mean there will be 20 flights a week to the Westport-Wellington route.

    They will need to get bigger aircraft soon.

  2. They seem to be only operating one flight a day on Wednesdays and Fridays... When they launched Wanaka they operated two flights on those days

    1. There prices are a bit high $299 one way so not really affordable for many. Which won't help with bookings either.

    2. Flights to WKA have been reduced over the winter fog inversion season I understand. Back to full strength in August.
