Eagle Air’s addition of more flights to Wanaka from the end of August has necessitated flight changes to the Hokitika-Christchurch service. The Air New Zealand website shows that Air National will now provide eight Christchurch-Hokitika-Christchurch flights per week instead of the current four. Jetstreams will replace Beech 1900s on the early/mid-morning CHC-HKK-CHC flights Monday to Friday and the late afternoon CHC-HKK-CHC flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. At present Air National operates a late morning CHC-HKK-CHC flight. This flight will be operated by a Beech on Mondays and Fridays with the Wednesday and Thursday services being cut.
