Pruning of Air NZ's Westport Service

This little snippet was in a New Zealand Herald article last week...

The Airports Association yesterday criticised the airline for pulling out of Masterton and scaling back flights to Wanganui and Westport.

I have been had the dreaded lurgy for over a week now and I have not been able to get to the library to check the Westport News but the cuts of Air New Zealand's service to Westport I have found on the Air NZ website

  • The Saturday Wellington-Westport-Wellington service, with the last flight appearing to be 8 February 2014

  • The Wednesday morning flight effective from the end of January.

  3. Probably.

As an Air New Zealand shareholder, I applaud the decision to axe non profit making routes.

Air New Zealand is not, and never has been, a charity.
