Takaka

Golden Bay Air is one of my favourite airlines in New Zealand. It has successfully developed its niche market and has grown the business. It was great to meet Richard Molloy, Golden Bay Air's owner. Above, Golden Bay's simple but smart looking terminal

Golden Bay Air's Piper Pa34 Seneca ZK-ZAG at Takaka on 22 January 2014.

The aircraft I was really after, though unfortunately it was parked up in the hangar... Piper Pa28-181 Archer ZK-ZOG at Takaka on 22 January 2014. Stable mate ZK-ZIG was over at Nelson on maintenance.

Also operating out of Takaka is Mit Brereton's Adventure Flights Golden Bay. It was good to have a yarn to Mit between scenic flights. Mainstay of his operations are scenic flights and transfer flights to Karamea and Nelson. Over the summer he is using Cessna 185 ZK-CGH. Photo taken on 22 January 2014
