Congratulations to Air Chathams which began its weekend DC-3 service between Auckland and Whakatane on Saturday... I actually heard it fly past Te Puna on Saturday afternoon. These photos are from Whakatane's Mayor Tony Bonne's Facebook page showing the DC-3 on the first return flight back to Auckland yesterday.
