Sounds Air Boosts Services

Sounds Air has announced on Facebook that they are increasing their air services from the 1st of September.

Wanganui will see its flights doubled to two flights a day, with flights departing Wanganui for Wellington at 6.30am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday and at 4.00pm on Sunday afternoons. The northbound services will depart Wellington at 9.30am and 7.30pm with a 7.00pm flight on Sunday evenings. All the Wanganui flights will connect with Sounds Air flights to and from Picton, Blenheim and Nelson both in the morning and in the evening. The increased schedule will also make it easier for Wanganui passengers to connect with Air New Zealand and Jetstar services to and from South Island centres.

In addition to these there will an additional late afternoon return flight between Wellington and Blenheim each weekday. The present early afternoon flight from Wellington to Nelson is retimed to depart Wellington at 8.30am in the morning with an early afternoon return while the last Wellington to Blenheim flight moves an hour earlier to cater for demand.
