New Trans-Tasman Air Freight Service





Crossing the Tasman over the last couple of weeks is Airwork 1 from Auckland to Sydney and-Airwork 2 operating the return flight. The flights have been operated by Boeing 737-400 ZK-TLM with departures last week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings connecting with FDX77 in Sydney with a Saturday afternoon flight as well. The first flight was operated on the 21st of January 2020.

We are delighted to inform you that effective January 31, 2020, FedEx and TNT will enhance their Trans-Tasman lane service, connecting New Zealand-Australia-New Zealand between Auckland and Sydney, 5 times a week. The enhanced service will improve transit times and feature of service, offer larger cargo capacity, connect a key trade lane moving FedEx and TNT Australia freight to New Zealand (bi-directionally) and provide scalability for worldwide New Zealand retail freight growth.  


FedEx Trans-Tasman service connects you to more people and possibilities with our overnight express delivery between Auckland – Sydney – Auckland which is scheduled to operate five times a week. We now offer better transit times and service benefits on our key trade lanes. This enhanced service presents new trading opportunities for New Zealand businesses through better connections to the rest of the world and stronger Australasia service.

Trans-Tasman Key Benefits
