Golden Bay Air heading home

After its annual one-month holiday from operating their Takaka-Wellington air service, Golden Bay Air's Gippsland Airvan ZK-ZUG was heading departing Wellington for Takaka on 8 September 2025. The Airvan looked to have a good load. At present Golden Bay Air is operating five flights a week but from mid-October this will ramp up to daily flights. Over the summer period up to 11 flights a week are operated into Wellington with daily flights from Takaka to both Karamea and Nelson.
