Hawaiian Airlines have announced new thrice weekly services between Honolulu and Auckland starting in March 2012. Hawaiian's Boeing 767-300 aircraft are no strangers to Auckland, with Air New Zealand performing heavy fleet maintenance.
The new flights come after just two months after Air New Zealand announced a 50 per cent increase in its capacity on Auckland-Honolulu route with their flights increasing to a thrice weekly schedule using both Boeing 777-200 and 767-300 aircraft on this route.
Hawaiian Airlines will be the only United States airline to fly to New Zealand.
