Goodbye Salt Air - Hello Flight Hauraki

 

 

Effective from 01 November 2012 Flight Hauraki, an Auckland based air operator, will take over ownership and operation of the Salt Air Xpress scheduled air services between Kerikeri, Whangarei and North Shore. Since May 2008 we have successfully built up a popular air service amongst the business communities in both Northland and Auckland that has provided a convenient option for travelling between Northland and North Shore. Flight Hauraki intend on continuing very similar services with some changes in the scheduled departure times due to their aircraft being baed in North Shore rather than Kerikeri. They will operate the service with their Cessna aircraft and will maintain operating the twice daily flights Monday to Friday. We believe it will remain a valuable travel option in linking passengers needing to travel between Northland, North Shore and the Auckland CBD. You may be aware that we also operate successful tourism and charter flight services in both helicopters and planes for which they will continue to focus our business on. Our current Northland based team will remain employed with us going forward. We will communicate directly with you if you have any future bookings beyond 31 October and how you will book going forward. Those holding prepaid seats and Flexifares with Salt Air Xpress will be able to use these on Flight Hauraki.
