This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. First of the 500 series ATR-72s go into new Air NZ scheme
Going back into service this morning was Mount Cook Airline's ATR-72 ZK-MCF after a "C" check and re-branding into the new scheme. It operated a Christchurch-Dunedin return service. Thanks to NZAV8A for these pics.
It's hard to confirm 100% but it looks like the plane has lost both it's "link" titles and the Mount Cook Airline name. I wonder if the -600's will retain the Mt Cook Lily up front when they reach the paint shop?
The Lily is being taken off the aircraft as they all go into this scheme (including ZK-MVA which goes for new paint early 2015) Mount Cook Airlines still remains however below the Star Alliance logo.
Looks better than the hash job they did on the tail of the Dash.
