This pretty much sums up the weather
Departure area
Bombardier Q300 ZK-NEF was due to depart to Wellington. Once all the passengers had boarded, it was announced that Wellington airport had closed due to bad weather and all the passengers had to be offloaded. Some 10-20 minutes later it was announced that Wellington had reopened and the flight was no longer cancelled.
Bombardier Q300 ZK-NEE had just landed from Christchurch

Bombardier Q300 ZK-NEE was preparing to depart for Auckland after its earlier arrival from Christchurch.
Bombardier Q300 ZK-NEA was arriving from Christchurch
Bombardier Q300 ZK-NES arrived from Wellington (it took off before Wellington momentarily closed). It is seen here looking good in the black and white livery.

It was looking even busier after the departure of ZK-NEE with three Bombardier Q300’s on the tarmac. In the front; ZK-NEA after its recent arrival from Christchurch. In the middle; ZK-NEF still yet to depart to Wellington and in the very back; ZK-NES after arriving from Wellington.
