This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. A350 in service...
Sunday 30 October 2016 was my first look at Cathay Pacific's new Airbus 350... I'm not sure why, but I don't really like its lines and look...
Cathay Pacific's Airbus 350 B-LRC at Auckland on 30 October 2016
To be honest,I don't care about the fuel consumption, I just a passenger, not the boss of the airline:). It is the same case in the 787, people saying how good the fuel efficiency it is, but it just save $$$$ for the airline. Its 16.7 inch narrow seat makes it painful to fly as a passenger. So I will avoid 787 when possible. (May be you call me "environmental unfriendly", but hey.......)
If you don't care about higher fuel consumption you don't care about paying more expensive tickets so you might as well go fly business class and stop complaining about seat sizes.
Who ever above that is, you miss understanding me. I am not complaining, I understand that is how the business work and if i own an airline i will put as many seat as possible to a plane as well. What I mean is when i book a flight, I wont thinking "oh that is a 787, it use so little fuel, so i will fly it", only when the price of that flight is unbelievablely low then i will take the 787.
I suppose this is what maximum efficiency looks like now... As a side note, Qantas re-imaging of its livery sees the Kangaroo red delta reshaped as an Airbus vertical fin. Got a feeling an A350 swap out order is firming up.
I like the look of the A350. Its better looking than the B787.
ReplyDeleteA340 looks better, 4 engines 4 long-range!
ReplyDeleteBut consumes more fuel than the A350:)

Alec, can you explain that comment a little further? Curious.
