Sounds Air are also trying to figure out their future... this from their Facebook page
We thought we'd take a moment to update you all on how your favourite airline is doing during these uncertain times. Currently all our aircraft are in hibernation in Marlborough, facilitating the occasional hospital patient transfer or essential worker flight by charter request. All our pilots and ground crew are itching to get us back into the air and we can't wait to bounce back to providing that exceptional service for our communities. However as many of you would have read via Radio NZ or similar news source our Managing Director continues to meet resistance in our application for a small fraction (<1%) of the $600m Aviation Support Package announced a few weeks ago.

We're striving to maintain all our existing staff including pilots, ground crew, management and engineers to ensure we can hit the ground running when domestic demand resumes and NZ can be connected once more for business and eventually leisure as the Government Alert Levels fall from 3, to 2, to 1 and are removed entirely. We would love to hear your thoughts, so please leave a comment below (actually leave them on the Sounds Air Facebook page). We have plenty of time to read them all!
