I see on the CAA aircraft register that Aero Commander 690A ZK-PVB has been registered to Air Chathams...
Aero Commander 690 ZK-PVB at Auckland on 15 March 2011 while still being operated by NZ Aerial Mapping |
...so the question now is what is it for???
Whakatane-Wellington???
Masterton-Auckland???
WHK-WLG was rumored recently
ReplyDeleteDon't think that would be able to do MRO-AKL... well not comfortably though. WLG-WHK could work though!
ReplyDeleteUm, WHK-WLG and AKL-MRO actually don't have a lot of difference. Back in the day of Eagle, WHK - WLG was scheduled for 70 mins and AKL-MRO was scheduled for 75mins
ReplyDeleteProbably for its Garrett engines!!
ReplyDeleteHow many does it seat?
ReplyDeleteBahaha highly doubt this will be used for RPT services. Of all the things you could buy.... my bet something else in the pipeline
ReplyDeleteAir Ambo off Chatham Island?
ReplyDeleteThere no way this is being used for RPT. Unless they think people will be paying four figures for a ticket...
ReplyDeleteIntended to be based in the Chathams for emergency flights out - a role the Metro performed with distinction when it was based there.
ReplyDeleteMetros always perform with distinction.
Delete30 years on and still most economical 19 seater.
I've heard ZK-NSS has been sold to Air Chathams also.
ReplyDelete^spare parts for CIC I heard
ReplyDeleteChop the first for spare parts, the second is a spare aircraft.
DeleteWre-wlg is the latest, likely onwards to WHK. Return evening. Selected days of the week
