  1. Can only mean this little airline is succeeding where bigger players can't.

  2. What dose this mean exactly for Sounds air..? What aircraft is this.? On the taupo airport webcam today, both of the unpainted pc12s were at the airport..? Is this number four..?

  3. Be very exciting if they are growing the airline!!! Wonder what routes they can expand on..? Masterton to Auckland.? Or is it replacing one of the other pc12s

    2. Cheers for that Steve. I do remember, trying to decifer all the info a while back and coming to the conclusion that one or two of those pc12s were leased by sounds air esp with the Napier Woodburn service. Shows a lot of promise with a second pc12 painted, that the Westport and Napier service are doing OK. Wonder what one out of pls and plz are due to head off..?

    2. That route would easily fill a metro or even a Saab

  6. On that note. Will we be seeing the tall green kahikateas and westland district council adorn the spot between the cockpit and the front door. On this newly painted aircraft.?

    1. More likely to see a Buller District logo for Westport Fraser...

  7. Gosh I am out by a tens of kilometres!!! Should have known that being a geography geek haha. Guess the blue and red separated byou waves will look good.
Cheers for that Steve.. shame if it is plz, quite like the stylized livery it's got.. can't wait till they complete their livery paint across their entire fleet of the pc12s..
Will we see any add-ons with sounds air... I reckon that a 630am flight taupo to Auckland would be a possibility... now that Eagle air is now finished and little or no chance of Air Nelson basing an overnighter... great for businesses and connecting on to those early morning heavies at Auckland

    1. Well they would need another PC-12 given the schedule already has a 6:30am flight to WLG. They could do TUO-AKL 0630-0715. Then return 0800-0845 (given they seem to like 45 minute breaks for their WLG-TUO schedule). Then it could continue TUO-CHC 0845-1000. Return 1045-1200. Then the reverse starting 1245 arriving 1400. CHC-TUO 1445-1600. To Auckland 1645-1730 then back 1815-1900.
I just love speculating this sort of stuff

    2. I love speculating too!! What I was meaning is... currently there are three planes as you know, one is a backup/Napier Blenheim, which is three days of the week. Two aircraft based in taupo. The second aircraft would do 615-700 auc-taupo. 725-810 auck-tau. Days of the Napier Blenheim flight, repositioning to Napier wouldn't take too long.. surely a little rescheduling and strict on time boarding would not only work but get the most out of the three pc12s. Always an option to keep the leased PLZ on for a while longer.?
