This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. You've got to be kidding...
Forget about May flights for Originair... Nothing is now scheduled until 5 June 2019!
Personally I think they should close down the reservation system until they are definitely ready to get airborne.
I have to agree with packapoo Out of interest I have been following this story for a while. I feel that if they had come clean and said that we have been flying on air2theres AOC and now we can't and because we have had issues in the past with other operators AOC we have decided to apply for our own AOC. As a result we won't be able to fly until its granted and we will advise when granted people would have understood
Instead they have left the booking system open booked out the scheduled flights which to somebody not experienced in reservation system makes it looks like they are flying with full flights This will anoy people when they find out they aren't flying. I would suggest that if they do start flying again they will have a serious credibility problem getting people to book.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$ - another under capitalised operator trying to do everything on the cheap and never never - now finding the reality of the cost of what happens when you burn too many bridges. Where have we seen that before???
Well! I was about to book a PMR-NSN with them for mid May. Ended up booking Air NZ, half the price of Origin. Maybe I'll just stick with Air NZ......
ReplyDeleteReally have to question their smarts, announcing then failing to follow thru.

It really begs the question... Why didnt they get their own AOC in the first place ?? Could have saved an awful lot of trouble.
