Today Barrier Air introduced a Tuesday lunch time flight from Auckland to Kaitaia and return bringing the schedule to 13 flights a week between the two centres. The first flight was flown in Caravan ZK-SDD.
Barrier Air offers an early morning service from Kaitaia to Auckland Monday to Friday and a return evening flight from Auckland to Kaitaia operated Sunday to Friday. On Friday evening there is a late Kaitaia to Auckland service. The lunch time flights now operate seven days a week with the northbound flight leaving Auckland at 11.00 and the return flight leaving Kaitaia at 12.40pm
