Barrier Air have announced an increase in the schedule for their lunchtime flights between Auckland and Kaitaia to 7 days a week with the addition of a return service being operated on Tuesdays. The new Tuesday service will commence on the 30th of July 2019. Lunchtime flights were introduced between Auckland and Kaitaia on the 4th of March 2019 with these operating Wednesday through to Monday. With the addition of the Tuesday service Barrier Air will operate 13 return services each week between Kaitaia and Auckland.
Grant Bacon, Barrier Air's Chief Operating Officer, told 3rd Level NZ that "The loads to and from Kaitaia have been excellent and well received by the market."
