This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. No SPANZ DC-3
There was no SPANZ DC-3 at Matamata on Sunday but it was nice to get a couple of other interesting visitors...
Boeing Stearman ZK-XAF at Matamata on 18 October 2020
NZ Aerospace CT/4B Airtrainer ZK-JMV at Matamata on 18 October 2020
Steve - I think ZK-BYD landed just after you left... could be wrong. The two featured aircraft are part of the Classic Flyers fleet. The Stearman come across from Tauranga so the pilot could perform touch and gos to go towards getting his taildragger rating. Tauranga Airport was a bit busy at the time for such training.
