Air Napier is again advertising seats from Gisborne to Napier. The airline continues to operate early morning Tuesday to Saturday Napier to Gisborne courier freight flights and and the return flights on Monday to Friday. The seats are only available on the southbound flights at a premium price of $595. The service is largely operated by the company's Piper PA31 Navajo ZK-NPR.
Prior to Covid Air Napier were operating regular passenger flights between the two cities.
$575!! Are they for real!! What a joke. The plane is going whether they fill the seat or not. Better to offer and fill that seat at a more attractive rate, then have it empty all the time.
ReplyDeleteWow! That really takes the cake!
Yes very expensive, air nz used to fly with F27 Friendships in the 1980's
ReplyDeleteYeah i would have thought about the $180 mark might have been acceptable.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, flight is going, regardless or not if there is a passenger booked. Nearly $600 is absolutely outrageous! The market for that sort of flight is going to be severely limited in any case. It's only one way, so you would have to find another way back to GIS.
ReplyDeleteCannot see Air Napier selling many if any of these seats.
