Almost Done

 

Downers' project update on the Chatham Islands Airport runway extension for the period 25 February to 10 March states , 

Since our last update we have:

• Completed the final paving of the existing runway
• Completed asphalt paving in the airport carpark
• Completed carting aggregates on North Rd
• Commenced removal of old taxiway
• Install Sewer system for terminal building
• Voyage 6 – went according to plan

Key construction activity we will be doing in upcoming works 

• - Concrete in approach lights
• - Topsoil and grassing
• - Disestablishment of Asphalt plant
• - Voyage 7 – Disestablishment of plant on 25 March 2023
