It wasn't a particularly nice day to day at Paraparaumu but the sun was out was to photograph air2there's Cessna 208 Grand Caravan which had just arrived from Nelson. |
Down the line was their Piper PA34 Seneca ZK-WIW... I'm not sure whether this is used on the service or not. The Navajo and Chietain were nowhere to be seen |
Hahaha Barrier Air door coming open on their piper chieftain. Article on NZ Herald
ReplyDeleteWhat an odd SOH!!
DeleteAir 2 there should go for a PPQ to CHC service enough demand to fill a Caravan easily.
ReplyDeleteI very much doubt that. PPQ CHC has some very high Minimum Safe Altitudes requiring the Caravan to fly a long way out to sea. It is also one of the most violent stretches of airspace along the Kaikoura coast line for an aircraft limited to 10,000 feet.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it would be more easily performed with the Piper PA34. What type of aircraft did Associated Air use when it did the route?
DeleteStarted with a Piper Aztec and then progressed to a Cessna 402/421 - see http://3rdlevelnz.blogspot.co.nz/2010/05/associated-air-paraparaumus-friendly.html
Deleteanyone know why they have a big white cover over their logo above the ldg gear ??
ReplyDeleteRemnants of when they were flying on behalf of barrier air to kk
