Entering service with Air New Zealand today is its newest ATR 72-600 ZK-MZF operating as it first flight NZ5346 from Christchurch to Wellington and its return, NZ5349.
ZK-MZF was the last ATR 72-600 Air New Zealand had on order. The first, ZK-MVA, arrived in New Zealand in November 2012. The airline has a fleet of 29 ATR 72-600s.
Wish they got one more and have a fleet of 30 it's strange ending up on 29!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of the cabin in a brand new airliner. Way back in the 1990s, I got to fly in one of the original ATR72s from Wellington to Christchurch to Queenstown the day after it entered service. The cabin had a lovely “new” leather smell.
