Partenavia P68B Victor ZK-LAL (c/n 70) has been operated over the years by a number of operators... Allan Wooller has sent me a couple of pics of LAL in earlier days and I have included some more pics from its later "airline" service...
The first operator to use ZK-LAL was Lakeland Aviation of Taupo which used it on charter work. It is seen at Taupo in on 16 September 1978 |
Later Wairarapa Airlines intended to use it as a back up for their Mitsubishi air service. As things transpired neither the Mu2 or the Partenavia were used on Wairarapa's services. Photo taken at Masterton. For more on Wairarapa Airlines see http://3rdlevelnz.blogspot.co.nz/2010/11/wairarapa-airlines-revisited.html |
The next airline to use LAL was Ardmore Air Charter which you it for training and its service to Great Barrier Island... see http://3rdlevelnz.blogspot.co.nz/2011/09/ardmore-air-charter-simply-best-way-to.html |
Soundsair also used ZK-LAL on its Cook Strait and Marlborough Sounds charter and scheduled services. It is seen here at Ardmore on 30 November 1996. |
Northern Air used it on their courier run to Taupo, Rotorua and Tauranga. It is seen at Tauranga on 8 October 1998. - http://3rdlevelnz.blogspot.co.nz/2011/07/economic-and-efficient-travel-northern.html |
ZK-LAL was subsequently used by Great BArrier Airlines on courier and scheduled work and is now operated by Air Manawatu.
