ERU to be preserved

Bring Our Birds Home have announced on their Facebook page they have just acquired Embraer EMB-110 Bandeirante, former ZK-ERU which is heading to the National Transport & Toy Museum at Wanaka for public display.

This is great news.

The challenge is, in preserving our airliners, that we try and catch and save them before they head overseas.

  2. How many are preserved at this point? I recall one in a Manukau backyard and at least one other. Do any further aircraft remain in the country?
