I didn't take many photos at Christchurch... It is becoming more difficult to find good plane spotting vantage points and there wasn't too much exciting about when I was there

Unfortunately, regulators are making it very hard for young people to develop an interest in aviation due to all that over-the-top security everywhere. Even the likes of Hood Aerodrome at Masterton is becoming less accessible.
