Heaphy Track reopened

After being closed for 18 months the Heaphy Track is open for business. This is good news for Golden Bay Air which operates regular flights between Nelson and Takaka to and from Karamea.

Already Golden Bay Air's Piper Archer ZK-ZOG has already made a few trips to Karamea.

A couple of years ago I took the opportunity to try and their flights between the two rural centres and I would highly recommend it if you are holidaying in the Tasman Bay/ Golden Bay area ... you can have a look here
