This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. When do the Friendships finish???
Time must certainly be running out for Airwork's Friendships...
On Wednesday night one flew AWK 47 from Auckland to Christchurch and return flight AWK 40.
With the 737s coming in, I'm sure its time for them to go. It will be sad to no longer hear the screaming Rolls Royce darts engines hopefully one of them will be stored and preserved in a museum for New Zealand history..
Yip PAT has had issues getting certification. And the others have had minor issues that have caused delays to flights. Think PAT is nearly ok but talk is that it will be around the 22nd that they start using all 737. Originally was meant to be the 5th of August and has been pushed back since.
Unfortunately not. I missed that flight and the one on Wednesday when ZK-PAQ came down. It would have been a great chance to see them in the daylight down here. Keeping up with the Palmerston North Airport Facebook page for updates though!
All 737's are now operating. Still a Metroliner flight Auckland-PN and PN-Auckland but not sure why this is still operating or how long it will be operating for.

ReplyDeleteAir chathams maybe..? Carry on with their theme of old aircraft..? Lovely to see one in their green livery
ReplyDelete737 problems mean that the changes keep getting pushed back. Time is nearly up though. Should be before the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the problems with the 737's? Are they to do with ZK-PAT?

ReplyDeleteThanks for that. Been curiously waiting for them here in Palmy.
DeleteI am too! Did you catch the one that came in for the test flight a couple of weeks ago?
