Sounds Air flights are GO in Alert Level 2.

Sounds Air have announced resumption of services. In an email sent out last night Sounds Air writes,

Hi there,

Like you, we are looking forward to the country moving to Alert Level 2 (AL2) from 11.59pm this Wednesday night. With this change, Sounds Air will be operational and flying on Thursday morning. A new reduced schedule is being loaded overnight, with larger turn-around times to aid increased cleaning measures between flights.

Things you need to know
Bookings will be available to the public from 09:00, Tuesday 12 May, and we ask that you please book online here to reduce call centre congestion. We will be actively monitoring seat capacity and adding flights as required. This is a dynamic period of unknown demand and like we always have, we will do our best to meet our customers needs.

At this time, single-seat configuration is in place to allow for physical distancing on our aircraft, and as a result, we cannot offer our cheaper 'Sounds Good' fares while this is in place. Customers with existing 10 Trip Tickets are welcome to use these tickets towards flights in AL2, resulting in larger discounts, enjoy!

Available Flights
As we recommence flying, we have had to slightly scale back our routes to:

Wellington/Westport: Flights from Thursday 14 May

Wellington/Blenheim: Flights from Thursday 14 May

Wellington/Nelson: Flights from Thursday 14 May

Wellington/Taupo: Flights from Monday 18 May

Blenheim/Christchurch: Flights from Monday 18 May

For those that would fly to / from Paraparaumu or Picton, in the short-term these will be 'ad-hoc by demand'. Please express interest on our recent FB post, or by email. Rest assured we will look to include Picton & Paraparaumu in our new reduced schedule ASAP.
