This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. Looking smart for the ferry flight to NZ
Kiwi Regional Airlines' smart looking Saab 340 ZK-KRA
However it's painted, the Saab 340 is the best looking low-wing turboprop since the HS748
ReplyDeleteId argue that title belongs to her sister, the 2000.
DeleteSaab 2000 is a nice enough looking plane it is true, but like the Q400 vs the Dash-8, I can't help thinking it looks just a little too stretched out.
DeletePlus I'll admit I have a soft spot for the 748 that may cloud my judgement :)
The Convair would like a word with all of you. It has the most presence of all.
DeleteHaha! Yes!! Agreed completely! Gotta love those massive props!
DeletePrefer the saab 340. The 2000 is to stretched just like the Q400 vs Q300
