This blog started off by focussing on NZ's smaller 3rd level airlines, past and present. It has evolved to trying to present some record of NZ's domestic airline operations and some of the larger charter operators, interesting NZ international airliner movements and photos I have taken around the country. 1988 Nelson Dog Fight
How times have changed.. When there was a dog fight of the third level airlines over Nelson in the late 1980s Air NZ and Mount Cook were the bad boys with Eagle Air, Air Nelson and Pacifica all looking for a slice of the pie. Pacifica lost its battle to stay airborne and 22 years on the others are all part of the Air New Zealand group. Source : Nelson Evening Mail, 6 May 1988.

RE: Capital Air twin engine
ReplyDeleteThere is a Piper Seneca being flown across the Pacific.
Perhaps this could be Capital Air's new twin engine?
