Boeing, Boeing, Gone - 8

From memory Boeing 737 ZK-NAR was the first to carry the teal and blue of Air New Zealand.
This scheme was the one on the international fleet and NAR certainly did international services for Air New Zealand and Polynesian airlines.
I loved this scheme - what became the standard teal and blue scheme never looked as good.

  1. Interesting that the 'overseas' colour scheme didn't carry the New Zealand flag behind the airline name

  2. Got a 1:400 model of this plane. Used on Pacific islands routes. The flag didn't show up until the 747 era...did ever so like the DC10 original teal blue scheme...but with the broader tailfin of the 747, would've looked awkward as it did on the F27s.
