25 years ago - October 1988 - Fire Training

Once again we are seeing horrific bush fires in Australia... 25 years ago, in my previous existence, I worked for Timberlands and on the 8th of October 1988 we were down to Herbert Forest, south of Oamaru, for fire training with the Helicopter Line's Timaru-based Hughes 500D ZK-HPF and Helimac's locally based Hughes 300 ZK-HPH.
