Another Q300 Ferned

Bombardier Q300 ZK-NEP has been repainted in the new black and white silver fern colour scheme. Thanks to Jarden for this pic of ZK-NEP taken at Christchurch on 13 January 2014. This is the second Q300 to be repainted, ZK-NEQ being the only other to feature this scheme to date.

  1. It will be interesting to see how many they actually repaint.

  2. AirNZ have stated they will run the Q300 to the end of its service life ( around 2025 ) given that gives the fleet 10 years I would say all will get repainted.
I see they have left the Koru in the awkward position as it was on NEQ!

I believe they said the same about the B1900.

  4. The B1900 was due for a service life upgrade partly to comply with the PBN requirements in 2018 which was to start in 2016 so you could say they were correct.

    1. True, although the Q300 is a more profitable aircraft than the 1900D. More than one rationale was applied to the decision to retire the 1900D.
